Obituary of Paul Cardy

Paul O. Cardy passed away July 5, 2009 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born July 29, 1950 in Lockport he is the son of Wayne and Bessie (Kepple) Cardy. Paul served in the Navy from 1969 to 1971 during the Vietnam War. He worked for 30 years in production at Harrison Radiator retiring in 1999. Paul was a classic car enthusiast with the latest purchase of a 1963 Impala and also was very interested in the AMA, radio controlled airplanes. Paul is survived by his wife Diane (Swimline) Cardy of Lockport; father of Tammy (Jim) Strumpf and Matthew (Madita) Cardy both of Lockport; 'Baboo' of Michael, Gabrielle and Brittney Strumpf; brother of Kathy (John) Johnston of North Carolina. Son in-law of the late Roy and Marie Swimline; brother in-law of the late Eddie Swimline and uncle of the late Thomas Swimline. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service Thursday at 11 AM in Grace Episcopal Church, 100 Genesee Street, Lockport. Memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
