Ken L. Harris &amp;quot;Gooch&amp;quot;, formerly of Olcott, NY, was called home to the Creator on April 18, 2014 while in Anaheim, California. He was born on February 16, 1958 in Ohsweken, Ontario, Canada. Ken was the eldest son of the late Eva General and Cecil Harris. During his life Ken worked on various fruit farms including: Hobbs, Singer, Pease, and Fitches. He also worked for several construction companies including Hanks Masonary. In his free time Ken enjoyed reading a good book, shooting pool, playing horseshoes, taking walks, listening to the Eagles and playing cards. His favorite card game to play was scat and his favorite Eagles song was &amp;quot;Hotel California.&amp;quot; Ken was a member of the Onondaga Tribe from the Six Nations Reservation in Ohsweken, Ontario. He was Turtle Clan and he took great pride in his heritage. But it was his family that was the most important aspect of his life. One of the greatest memories shared between him and his siblings was playing softball on Sunday afternoons for the family team known as the &amp;quot;Six Nation Braves.&amp;quot; The team may have had many losses but there were more laughs shared than anything else during those Sunday games. If they weren&amp;#39;t losing at softball then Ken and his siblings were having horseshoe tournaments in his father&amp;#39;s yard. It was another great past time shared with family and friends. Ken also enjoyed spending countless hours in Krull Park near Lake Ontario. You could always find &amp;quot;Gooch&amp;quot; there drinking a beer and taking a stroll through the park. He is survived by his children, Naomi Taylor of Lockport, NY, and Alex (Amanda) Strong of Barker, NY. Also survived by three grandchildren: Desiree Taylor, Tyler Stewart, and Jackson Stewart all of Lockport, NY. Ken also leaves behind to cherish his memory, his siblings: Leona Harris of Olcott, NY, Peter Harris of Newfane, NY, Michael (Cynthia) Harris of Lockport NY, Lawren Harris of Buffalo, NY, Joel (Thea) Harris of Lockport, NY, William Harris of Buffalo, NY, Edwin Harris of Lockport, NY, Patrick (Sheila) Harris of Appleton, NY, Cecilia Harris of Lockport, NY, Anthony Harris of Lockport, NY, Rodney (Cheryl) Staats of Kendall, NY, Janie (Bud) Morehead of Kendall, NY and Cameron Staats of Ohsweken, Ontario. As well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins He is also survived by one of his best friends Ricky &amp;quot;Rat&amp;quot; Silversmith. Ken and RickV were inseparable for yeilrs. . Ken was predeceased by his stepmother Rita (Staats) Harris and his siblings; Jodine Harris, Darren Harris and David Staats. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, NY. Burial will be at Sour Springs Longhouse in Ohsweken Ontario. The Family has requested no flowers please and thank you. <h3>Visitation</h3> Relatives and friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM. <h3>Interment</h3> Burial will be at Sour Springs Longhouse in Ohsweken Ontario.
