Obituary of Skip Ellis

"Skip" Lehman D. Ellis, 61, passed away after fighting a courageous battle with Esophageal cancer on April 25, 2014 at Niagara Hospice House with his loving family by his side. Born on December 28, 1952 in Muncy, PA he was the son of Betty (Shaffer) and the late Lehman Ellis. Skip worked as a Machine Operator for Buffalo Crushed Stone/ABC Paving. He raced stock cars at Lancaster Speedway. Skip loved to go hunting, fishing, going to the casino and spending time with his family especially his grandkids. Skip is survived by his wife of 35 years Gale ( Kieffer) Ellis, whom he married on May 19, 1979, his mother; Betty Lauricella, his children; Tanya (Erik) Poss, Justin (Crissy Murphy) Ellis, Ashley (Anthony Morrow) Ellis, Tiffany (Jan Jerge), Sam Graves; his siblings; Dennis (Kathy) Ellis, Karen (Honcho) Gregory, Gary (Elizabeth) Ellis, Debbie Ellis; his grandchildren; Keirstan, Emily, Christopher. Skip is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Lehman and his daughter Christine Post. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, April 29th from 4-7pm in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home 242 Genesee St. Lockport, where funeral services will immediately follow at 7PM. In lieu of flowers donations to Niagara Hospice House 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.
