Obituary of Deborah Layer-Menshon

Deborah Layer-Menshon passed away suddenly April 24, 2014. Born in Batavia on September 10, 1964 she is the daughter of Linda (Slauer) Layer of Lockport and the late Jack K. Layer. Deborah was a graduate from SUNY Fredonia with a Bachelor's degree in Communications. She worked for Alarm Design Systems Inc. in Wheatfield where she was an office manager. Deborah enjoyed working on marketing side jobs, sports, cooking, and photography. She was a past member of the Lockport Rotary Club and also Time Travelers of WNY. Besides her mother Deborah is also survived by her husband of 20 years William Menshon of Lockport; mother of Matthew and Jessica Menshon both of Lockport; sister of Sharon (Scot) Snaith and Kevin (Rita) Layer; also several close friends, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Sunday, April 27th from 1 to 3 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will immediately follow at 3 PM with the Rev. Stephen Hall officiating. Private interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
