Obituary of Maria Cavaiuolo

Maria Cavaiuolo was led to the Lord by Angels on April 24, 2014, surrounded by family members. Born June 20, 1929 in San Martino, VC. AV. Italy the daughter of the late Gennaro and Rosa (Lombardi) Pagnozzi. Maria came to Lockport, NY with her husband the late Vittorio Cavaiuolo who passed away in 2005 and their two children Carlo and Domenico Cavaiuolo where they established the Roma Tailor Shop.
Maria (also well known to many as Nonna) was an avid Bocce player having won many championships. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, indoor and outdoor gardening and most of all spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Maria is the wife of the late Vittorio Cavaiuolo and survived by her children, Carlo Cavaiuolo, Domenico Cavaiuolo, and Lucy (Thomas) Wronski. Also survived by her grandchildren Mary (Mario) Cavaiuolo- Vitagliano, Stefania Cavaiuolo, Rebecca (Pasquale) Cavaiuolo-Bertenni, Mimmo Cavaiuolo, Katherine Cavaiuolo, Carlo Cavaiuolo, Christopher (Robin) Wronski, Victoria Wronski, Angelina Wronski and great grandchildren, Cristina and Melissa Vitagliano, Sofia and Italo Bertenni, and Joshua and Jamie Cavaiuolo. Maria is also the sister of Alfonso (Gilda), Salvatore (Antonietta) Pagnozzi, Esther Adamo all of Italy and the late Inez Pagnozzi Bucculo, Anna Vetere, Paolo and Domenico Pagnozzi; also survived by the many friends and family that knew her best as Nonna, Cummare and Mrs. C.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday April 26, 2014, 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 28, 2014 at 10 o'clock in St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport, NY.
