Obituary of Betty Griffin Watts

Betty Jane Griffin Watts 88, died Monday April 21, 2014. Born December 25, 1925, in Lockport, she was the daughter of late Clarence and Mary Griffin. She graduated from St Joseph Academy in Lockport, joined Harrison Radiator Division of GM and retired after 30 years of service on their office staff. She was a member of the Eastern Star for 35 years and Past Matron of the Hartland Chapter 595 and Past Matron of the Angelus Chapter 559 also. She was a member of the Red Hats for over 8 years and a life time member of The Emanuel United Methodist Church. Betty was a very friendly, loyal, generous lady and well liked by everyone. She enjoyed golf, bowling and playing card games. She was preceded in death by her first husband Chester Padoleski and her second husband Roland Watts.
She is survived by her brother Clarence L. Griffin Jr.(Janet) of Kenosha, Wisconsin and the late Lorraine M. (late Robert) Petty; five nieces and nephews Douglas (Doreen) Petty of Lockport, Patricia Petty of Lockport, Deborah (Robert) Giovannucci of Swampscott, Ma, Pamela (Joel) Zimmerman of West Bloomfield, MI., Mark (Deborah) Griffin of Dubuque, IA.; nine great nieces and nephews, eleven great great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, April 28th from 9:30 am until 11:30 am with the Eastern Star ceremony at 10:30am and the service at 11:30am at The Emanuel United Methodist Church 75 East Ave. in Lockport. Internment will be at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Medina, NY. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, Inc. or to Emmanuel United Methodist Church would be appreciated by the family.
