Obituary of Sue Ann Bax

Sue Ann Bax, 59, mother and longtime postal worker, died April 11, 2014, at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Amherst N.Y., afte a long battle of ovarian cancer. Born in Niagara Falls, N.Y., Sue graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1972, raised four children, and retired in 2012 after 30 years at the U.S. Postal Service. She loved traveling, cooking, and sewing. She most devoted herself to nurturing her relationships with her four children, and she worked tirelessly to provide for them. Sue is survived by her fiance, Dean Belson of North Chili, N.Y., and her children, Maria Schultz, of Fredericksburg, Va.; Jennifer Bax of Niagara Falls; Melissa Bax of Amherst, N.Y.; and Alfred M. Bax of Niagara Falls. She is also survived by her parents, Peter and Donna Granite of Lockport, N.Y.; her sister, Rena McCune of Wheatfield, N.Y. and her brother Gary Granite of Niagara Falls, N.Y.. Visitation will be Monday April 14th 4 to 7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc., 242, where services will immediately follow at 7 PM. Sue will be interred in Clearfield, Pa., where she spent many childhood summers with her grandparents Erma and Carl Conklin. It was the place she most regarded as home. Sue is remembered for the love and kindness she extended to all. She demonstrated her faith in Christ by heeding his teaching: Love your neighbor as yourself. <h3>Visitation</h3> Visitation will be Monday April 14th 4 to 7 PM. <h3>Services</h3> Services will immediately follow at 7 PM. <h3>Interment</h3> Sue will be interred in Clearfield, Pa., where she spent many childhood summers with her grandparents Erma and Carl Conklin.
