Charles A. Loiacano passed away peacefully on April 8, 2014 with his two sons at his side at Briody's Health Care Facility. Born on January 9, 1918 in Lockport, NY, he was the son of the late Charles and Jennie (Sammarco) Loiacano. Charles married Rose Bucolo on June 15, 1940. They celebrated 72 years of marriage before she predeceased him on July 27, 2012. Charles worked for Harrison Radiator Division of General Motors for 35 years; retiring in 1974. He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's Church. He enjoyed youth baseball and was an An-Jo coach for several years. An avid sports enthusiast, Charlie enjoyed watching the New York Yankees and the Buffalo Bills. In recent years, he especially enjoyed following the performances of his many great-grandchildren in youth and high school sporting activities. Charles was the dear father of Charles (Gail) and Joseph (late Beatrice) Loiacano. He was grandfather to Kim (Frank) Perilli, Kristine (Michael) LaRose, Charles (Amy) Loiacano, Terese Loiacano, Renee (Gregory) Hooker and Joseph (Melissa) Loiacano. Great Grandfather to Andrew, Tera &amp; Adam Perilli; Jenna, Jillian &amp; Julia LaRose; C. Mitchell &amp; Madeline Loiacano; Joseph &amp; Abigail Alex; Nathan &amp; Joshua Hooker; Cecelia &amp; Joseph Loiacano. Charles was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph (Mary) Loyacano, Samuel Loiacano and John (Mary) Ritz and a sister, Mary Bucolo. Brother in Law to Frances (Lawrence) McKay, Delia (late Edward) Martin, Jerome (Cindy) Bucolo and the late Santo, Michael, Theresa, Anna, James (Florence) Bucolo and Lena (Marvin) Cummings. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and Friends may call on Friday April 11, 2014 from 3:00 �&amp;quot; 7:00 p.m. at Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, Genesee St. Lockport, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday April 12, 2014 at St Joseph's Church, 391 Market St., Lockport, NY at 10:00 a.m. Entombment at Glenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciated donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 331 Alberta Dr. #106, Amherst, NY 14226 , in honor of Cecelia Loiacano.
