Ruthie and I worked together at Spectator Publishing in Somerset, Massachusetts. She was a wonderful person. Spiritual and caring, kind and giving. She had a terrific sense of humor, I still use some of her witty quotes. I’m very sad and sorry to know of her passing. My deepest sympathy to her husband and family. Frank Freitas.

Everett and family. Even though it's been over 30 years since I last saw Ruthie, I have so many fond memories of Ruthie and her family from Baptist Temple Church in Fall River, Ma and the times we all spent together in the Stringer household. Ruthie had a laughter that was infectious and oh my, how she loved the Lord. My sincerest, heartfelt sympathy on your loss. She was a beautiful lady with a beautiful soul. God bless and keep you and give you peace.

On behalf of the Harden Family, we extend our deepest sympathy and deepest joy to your family. Although, we recognize the understandble and predictable grief that accompanies the loss of someone so dear and precious as Ruthie, we are filled with sweet and holy joy that Ruthie is, now, "home" with our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ where she has always belonged. She was a powerful witness faith, formidable soldier of hope, and a treasure of happy love. She is, now, an angel! Love, Harold, Andrea, Natalie, & Nathanael (the scone consumers)

My Condolences to Ruthie Stringer from her daughter Sharon Stringer Melton. First I would like to apologize that I could not be there for her final days. My husband is ill and needs me to take care of him here in Michigan where we live. Second I want to thank Peter my step-brother and my father for faithfully being by Ruthie’s side during her last days on this earth. You guys are a true inspiration and I’m truthfully thankful that you were there for such a deserving person. Next I would like to thank everyone that was able to be here today that had the opportunity to be blessed by knowing Ruthie. And finally, I would like to tell you what a wonderful Step-mother she really was. She worked hard at every thing including raising two boys and two girls. She was a great Mom, wife and a great and respected Christian woman. She was a strong influence in my life concerning all aspects of a young girl growing up into a Christian woman. With two wonderful examples of Christian parents, I feel that Ruthie and my Dad did a fantastic job with all four of us kids. They not only taught us about living a Christian life, but was by our sides even if we strayed away a bit. She taught me how to be a great Mom, a great wife and a great woman by example. Ruthie was loved by so many people and she will be missed deeply by all, especially me. I love you very much Ruthie and I will see you some day in heaven with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

There will never be enough ways to thank God for bringing this wonderful lady into my life. This was my last letter to her, she has an amazing legacy. Hello My Tia, I love you!!! I just wanted to stop by for a little bit to tell you how much I love you. Whenever I talk to anyone about being a child, an adult, a Christian, or a Woman of God your name comes up. You have stamped my life with so much love that I don't know where to begin to say thank you. You have been the most consistent, obedient woman I have ever had the pleasure to call my own. I am part of your legacy. I remember the day I went to Baptist Temple Church and saw you for the first time. Your smile was the most welcoming sight there was. You could have held me in your arms forever and I would have been satisfied. I always wanted to see you and feel your hugs and kisses. You were an encouragement to me and one of the most calming effects I can remember. All I ever wanted was to be a part of your family. I remember when I told you I had accepted Jesus and you told me I was your sister now. Becoming a part of your family was one of the biggest thrills of my life. If you and Uncle Everett were the only people at our wedding I would have been just as content. You have been my stronghold. You have taught me how to be strong. You have taught me how to love and to show others grace at all times. You also taught me how to love Jesus in the good times and in the bad times to always be thankful. Now, as I am a part of our church I feel you inside of me as I shower the little children with attention. I help out where ever I can and always reach out to everyone just to let them know in anyway I care/Jesus cares. When I told the story of us recently a girl told me afterwards that I am her "Tia Ruthie". It caught my breath for a moment as it seemed the earth stopped turning for 1 second. What a blessing for someone else to see me as I see you. Our love for Jesus, our love for each other, our compassion to others, and all because when you saw a little 11 year old girl you took the time to get to know her. Thinking of you has always made me feel better. Thinking of our times together crafting, sewing, baking, making chocolates and talking are some of the best times in my life. You always had a way of including me in everything and I was always happy to be right beside you I thank God for you Tia. I would have been lost without you and would never have known the love of any woman if you were not in my life. You have taught me how to love, to forgive, and to be grateful to our Lord and Savior. I know you will be seeing Him face to face soon. I will long for the hugs and sweet kisses you give Him on the day you see him as I wait for the day until we will see each other again. When God gave me you he gave me an amazing example of who he is. He made you in his image and I am thankful now that I can say I see you in many of the things I do each and every day. In everything I give thanks. In everything I praise Him. I never forget to remember you to ask for special blessings for you and Uncle Everett. My Sweet Tia, you have filled my life with joy. I love you forever and always. When you do see Jesus please give him a hug for me and get one back from him for you too. God Bless You, Kim

Hello my darling. You've stepped in the next room for a little while. I have to tell you how much you mean to me and I love you with all my heart. You and I have our stubborn streaks but our Lord worked those all out of us. Can't wait to see you again and give you a big hug.
