Watson J. Hughes passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 in Briody Health Care Facility. Born in Andalusia, AL, on November 3, 1925, he was the son of the late Ellie Watson and Minnie Nall Hughes. Watson served in the US Coast Guard from 1943 until 1946. He owned and operated Hughes Mobil in Lockport for many years. He was predeceased by his wife, Virginia (Barrancotta) Hughes, who passed away May 25, 1993. Watson was the father of Marlene (Joseph) D&amp;#39;Ambrosio of Avon, CT and Cindy (Brian) Neese of East Amherst; grandfather of Kristin and Kaitlyn Neese. He was the brother of Frances Campbell of Palm Desert, CA, and the late Merril Hughes and Elizabeth Hughes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Monday morning at 10-11 AM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday morning at 11 AM. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Bristol Village, 8455 Clarence Center Road, Clarence Center, NY 14032, would be appreciated by the family. <h3>Visitation</h3> Friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Monday morning at 10-11 AM. <h3>Services</h3> A Celebration of Life will be held Monday morning at 11 AM. <h3>Interment</h3> Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.
