Obituary of Doris Zahoransky

Doris M. Zahoransky passed away Saturday March 1, 2014 in Odd Fellows and Rebekah Health Care Center. Born in Springville, NY on May 28, 1937, she was the daughter of the late David and Marie Klotz Hillyard. Doris worked at Harrison Radiator for 25 years, retiring March 1, 1993. She was a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxilliary and the Travel Club, and she enjoyed bowling, cooking, camping, the casino and spending time with her family. Doris is survived by her husband John Zahoransky of Lockport, mother of Jocelyn (Robert) Andritz of Lewiston; grandmother of Shannon (David) Dent and David Spencer; great grandmother of Jaden Dent. Doris was the sister of Donald (Mary Ann) Hillyard of Amherst, Helen (Robert) Witcop of Hickory, NC and the late Frank Hillyard and Beatrice Edmister.; and sister in-law of Karen Hillyard of Keeseville, NY, Gerald Edmister, Robert Zahoransky of Lockport, Sue (John) Ferari of Williamsport, PA. and Maryann Fisher of Tamaqua, PA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and her dear friend Helen Johnson. Friends may call Tuesday 3 to 7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc., 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held Wednesday morning at 11 AM. Interment will be in Hartland Central Cemetery at a later date.
