Donald William Shubbuck, of Lockport passed away peacefully Wednesday February 26, 2014 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born in Medina, NY on December 5, 1928, , he was the son of the late John and Jane Lewandowski Shubbuck. He attended and graduated from St. Mary's School in Medina. He worked as a sub-contractor for Sears and worked at Diversified Manufacturing on Ohio Street in Lockport. Don and his wife Phyllis owned and operated Shubbuck's Lawn Maintenance for many years until retiring. Don loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman, boating and working on any kind of machinery. Don is survived by his wife of 53 years, Phyllis, who he married February 23, 1961. He is also survived by his sons William (Donna) Shubbuck and Thomas Shubbuck both of Lockport; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Don was the brother of Betty (Peter) Stedman of Indianapolis, IN. Don is predeceased by his son Gary, brothers, Raymond and Edmund and sister, Gertrude Steward. There will be no prior visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
