Obituary of Maureen Radigan

Maureen Ann Radigan passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at home after a long battle with Cystic Fibrosis. She was born on May 2, 1986 in Buffalo, NY. Maureen received her GED from Lockport High School in 2004. Maureen enjoyed her friends and would always try to put them ahead of herself. Whenever a friend needed help she tried her best to be there for them, even if it meant pushing herself to the limit. Maureen's smile and genuine compassion and affection for others gave comfort to her friends as well as strangers. She enjoyed volunteering at Emmett Belknap Middle School and had a great affection for the staff and children at the school. Maureen was also a lover of animals, especially her two dogs. She also displayed great interest in cosmetology and fashion.
Maureen is survived by her loving parents Patrick F. and Maria A. (nee Caraglio) Radigan of Lockport; cherished sister of Steven Radigan of Bloomington, IN and Kevin Radigan of Lockport; beloved granddaughter of Geraldine (late Francis Radigan) Walsh and the late Francis (late Connie) Caraglio and niece of Frank (Patricia) Caraglio of Carlsbad, CA and several cousins.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where prayers will be offered Monday at 11 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials to the St. John Outreach Center, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport, NY 14094 or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of WNY, 1775 Wherle Dr., Williamsville, NY 14221 would be appreciated by the family.
