Walter Sidor, Jr., 68, passed away on February 14, 2014 in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Buffalo. "Wally" as he was affectionately known by family and friends was born on June 18, 1945 in Hamburg, Germany, a son of the late Walter and Eugenia (Grelik) Sidor, Sr. Wally was a Meat Cutter for area Supermarkets. He was the former owner of the High Street Deli in Lockport. Wally loved music, sports, especially the Buffalo Bills and going to flea markets to collect unique items. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Wally is survived by his wife; Helen (Karlovcec) Sidor of Lockport, his sons; Christopher Sidor of Eden, NY and Walter I. Sidor of Lockport and his five grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings; John and Richard Sidor and Theresa DiPiazza. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on February 22, 2014 at 10 AM in Our Lady of Bastrica RC Church, 1619 Abbott Rd. Lackawanna, NY where military honors will be accorded.
