Obituary of Charles R. Mullen

Charles R. Mullen Sr. passed away January 29, 2014 in Niagara Hospice House. Born in Buffalo on February 11, 1931 he was the son of Vincent E. and Rose (D'Allessandro) Mullen. Charles served in the US Army from 1948 to 1949. He owned Mullen Appliance's for over 50 years, self-taught, self-employed, retired only last January when he turned his business over to his loving niece and guardian angel, Cherie Larsen. He was a member of All Saints Parish and the Mason's for 50 years. Charles was predeceased by his wives and forever friend of both Andrea Poole Mullen and Mavis Heim Mullen.
Charles is survived by his children Charles (Anita) Mullen of Manalapan, NJ, William (Belinda) Mullen of Lockport, Linda (Donald) Lorentz of Orchard Park, Joseph (Tracy) Mullen of Lockport, Michael (Catherine) Mullen of Friendswood, TX, Tabitha Couturier of Aurora, IL and Raymond (Megan) Mullen of Noblesville, IN; grandfather of Charles, Rachel Mullen, DaNeille (Neal) Kruger, Joelle (Wade) Babcock, Timothy Mullen, Jonathan (Emily) Lorentz, Regina, Josef Lorentz, Kristen, Andrew Mullen, Brianna, Drake Mullen, Aubrey, Devin, Shane Couturier, Anna, Sadie, Tessa, Rosalie Mullen and the late Billy Mullen; great grandfather of Abrianna, Elizabeth, Brookelynn, William Kruger and Pria Lorentz; brother of Clyde (Francine) Mullen, Edmund "Booie" (Sharon) Mullen, Edward "Tubby" (Wendy) Mullen, James (Karen) Mullen, Donald (Kathy) Mullen and the late Joan (David) Smith, Angela Fonzi, Evelyn Abernathy, Vincent Mullen and Shirley P. (Late Antonio) Casalinuovo; also several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, January 31st from 3 to 7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Saturday, February 1st at 11 AM.
