Obituary of Shirley L. Carmer

Shirley L. Carmer passed away January 22, 2014 at Buffalo General Medical Center. Born on December 5, 1943 in Richwood, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late George and Leta (Case) Donelson. Shirley enjoyed spending time and playing games with her family especially her grandchildren. She married Lawrence R. Carmer on April 26, 1965. Shirley was predeceased by her son Larry W. (Laurie Landon) on August 24, 2013.
Besides her husband Lawrence, Shirley is also survived by her daughter Sheri (Mike) Lavocat, her son Randy (Wendy Stolzenberg) and her grandchildren Casey, Kaitlyn, Jenna, Brianna, and Michael. Shirley was the youngest of eleven, she is survived by her sisters Wilda (Buck) Clay, Glenna Smith and her brother Edgar (Jewel) Donelson and predeceased by Leotis Donelson, James (Roxy) Donelson, Mary Kelsch, Ezra Donelson, Agnes Plymale, Loretta "Kitty" Short and Ethel Harding. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday, January 26th from 3 to 6 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Monday, January 27th at 11 AM. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Visit www.pruddenandkandt.com.
