Obituary of Robert R. Pedley

Robert R. Pedley passed away January 12, 2014 in Briody Health Care Facility. Born in Lockport on October 14, 1933 he was the son of Lester and Lillian (Reinke) Pedley. Robert served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955 earning the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He worked for Harrison radiator for 35 years where he was an oiler retiring in 1988. Robert was one of the original members of the Lockport Community Band, was a member of the UAW and Pistol Club. He enjoyed hunting and playing trumpet. Robert was predeceased by his wife Ruth (McAuliffe) Pedley on January 15, 2004.
Robert is survived by his four daughters, Barbara (Walt) Sattelberg of Middleport, Linda (Eric) Hoefer of Gasport, Cynthia (David) Burns of Ft. Wayne, IN and Patricia (Thomas) Lute of American Falls, ID; grandfather of Stacey (Jason), Eric (Colleen), Scott (Staci), Kris (Dan), Zach, Nick, Suzzy, Danny, Erin, and Darien; great grandfather of Lily and Jake.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, Jan. 17th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 18th at 11 AM. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Lockport Community Band, c/o Roseanne Stanley, 619 Walnut St., Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.
