Kenneth B. Hammond, Sr. passed away December 17, 2009 under the care of Hospice. Born February 19, 1943 in Buffalo he was the son of Lake Lee and Florence (nee Sterzinger) Hammond. Kenneth served in the US Army from 1960 to 1963 during Vietnam. He worked at Diversified Manufacturing where he was a welder retiring in December 2008. Kenneth was a member of American Welding Society where he was the Secretary/Treasurer, the Niagara Welding Society, and North Forrest Rod &amp; Gun where he was the Treasurer. Kenneth is survived by his wife Susan (nee Hahn) Hammond of Gasport; father of Kenneth (Dawn) Hammond, Jr., Ronald (Elizabeth) Hammond, and Richard Frank Hammond all of Lockport; loving grandfather of Drew, Spencer, Leo, Robyn, Oliver, and Marcus; brother of Shirley Breidenstein of Hamburg, Patricia Suhr of Cheektowaga, and Nancy (Michael) Gattie of Tennessee; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friend may call Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden &amp; kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 AM.
