Obituary of Ellen M. LaPort

Ellen M. LaPort passed away January 6, 2014 under the care of her family and Niagara Hospice. Born in Buffalo on July 27, 1966 she is the daughter of Paul and Mary (McMahon) Wartko of Kenmore. Ellen worked for M&amp;T Bank where she was a Business Analyst previously she was working for USA Today and Bank of America. Ellen was a member of the Barge Canal Optimist. Besides her parents Ellen is also survived by her husband Louis W. LaPort of Lockport; mother of Alia J., Louis J. and Veronica E. LaPort all of Lockport; sister of Maryanne (Michael) Stachowski of Hamburg, Katy (Patrick) Hawkins of Virginia Beach, VA, Paul M. Wartko of Tonawanda, Daniel (Maureen Holla) Wartko of Washington DC; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Friday, January 10th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 11th at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 3275 Elmwood Ave, Buffalo, NY 14217.
