Obituary of Frances Staszak

Frances P. Staszak passed away January 1, 2014 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born in Buffalo on September 12, 1922 she was the daughter of Benjamin and Filomena (Cuviello) Tauriello. Frances worked for Sister's Hospital in Buffalo where she was the Director of Administrations retiring in the mid 1980's after several years of service. She was the Past President of Newman Guild, am member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Lockport where she was the Past president of the Altar & Rosary Society and was on the Bereavement Committee, member of the Dale Association, Newfane Senior Citizen's, Traveling Bag Ladies, the Red Hats, sang in the Ecumentical Choir, was active with the NYS Wide Senior Action Council where she was awarded the First Rose Kryzak Award, and was an usher at Shea's, Art Park and Kavinoky. Frances was predeceased by her husband's George W. Sizemore in 1957 and Jerome M. Staszak in 1996.
Frances is survived by her children Barbara (late David) Brossard of Cheektowaga, Kathi (Cliff) Stein of Lockport, Maureen (Chuck) Hallett of Florida, Georjean (Daniel) Labuzzetta of Alden and the late Phyllis Delmonte; step-mother of David Staszak of Saranac Lake, NY, Karen (Don) Wood of Hamburg, and the late Edith (Dan) Moltrop of Chaffee, NY; grandmother of twenty-three, great grandmother of sixteen and several nieces and nephews; predeceased by nine brothers and sisters.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday, Jan. 4th 7-9 PM and Sunday, Jan. 5th 2-4 and 6-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Jan. 6th at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
