Obituary of Leo Kunkel

Leo H. Kunkel passed away December 28, 2013 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. He was born August 4th, 1940 in Lockport, the son of Leo and Stella (Skrock) Kunkel. Leo retired in 1997 after 39 years from Harrison Radiator, Div. of General Motors where he was a Methods Operator. He enjoyed art and was an accomplished artist and also was a very experienced dog handler showing Afghan show dogs.
Leo is the husband of Kathleen McGinnis Kunkel; father of Aliza (David) Edbauer and Craig (Hilary) Kunkel both of Cambria; grandfather of Jeffrey, Renee' and Greg Edbauer, Benjamin and Evan Kunkel. He is also the brother of Steve Kunkel, Greg (Judy) Kunkel, Marcelene (Larry) Lederhouse, Rhea (Fran) Wilson, Myrna Kunkel and the late Neil Kunkel; brother in law of Marlene Kunkel and also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial Saturday morning, January 4, 2014 at 10 AM in All Saints Parish 76 Church St. Lockport, NY. Memorials to the SPCA of Niagara, 2100 Lockport Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304 or to the Dale Association, 33 Ontario Street, Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.
