Obituary of Diane (Gately) Turney

Diane M. (Gately) Turney, 53, of Cumming, GA, passed away on Wed., Dec. 11, 2013 at home under the care of Hospice and her caring husband, Carey. Diane was born in Lockport, NY on May 26, 1960 to Richard and Dorothy Gately. She graduated from Lockport High School in 1978. She moved to Georgia shortly after graduation and met the love of her life, Carey. They married in 1984, and together had two beautiful sons, Eric and Travis. Diane worked with Atlantics Corp. of Georgia as a business analyst. She leaves behind her loving husband of29 years, Carey, and their sons, Eric and Travis. She is survived by her parents and was a wonderful daughter to Richard and Dorothy Gately, and her devoted mother-in-law, Gloice Crim. She was a caring sister to her four brothers; Tom, Tim, Dan (Joni) and David (Jill) Gately; her brother-in-laws Byron, Rodney, and Doug Turney; as well many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was the granddaughter of the late Catherine and Red Allison and the late Florence and Maxwell Gately. The family will receive relatives and friends from 3-7 PM on Tuesday, Dec. 17th at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home 242 Genesee St, Lockport, NY, where Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 18th at 10 AM. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Lockport.
