Obituary of Blanche Brown

Blanche E. Brown, age 102, passed away December 7th, 2013 in Advent House, Fairport, NY. Born July 20, 1911 in West Somerset, NY, she was the daughter of Alfred and Sara (Elwood) Hofert. Blanche was in sales at the Dixie Hat Store in Lockport. She was married to the late Norman Brown who passed away in 1989. She was one of the oldest members of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Women's Circle. She also was a member of the South Lockport Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. Blanche is the mother of Ronald (Linda) Brown of Rochester and the late Dale Brown; grandmother of Shelly Archie, Cherie (Ernest) Geiman, Darryl Brown, Dana Brown and the late Kevin Brown; great-grandmother of Jonah and Joshua Geiman, Brandyn and Wyatt Archie. She is also the mother-in-law of Sharon Brown and also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews and several cousins.
