Obituary of Robert Fogle

Robert E. Fogle passed away November 26, 2013 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born in Lockport on December 30, 1921 he was the son of George and Helen (Stimson) Fogle. Robert served in the US Army from 1944 to 1946 earning the Victory Medal World War II, Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit, Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star, Philippine/Badge Liberation Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star and the American Theater Ribbon. He worked for Harrison radiator where he started as a tool & die maker later becoming the foreman of the Tool & Die Room, Robert was promoted to General Foreman of production & Engineering and retired as a Master mechanic. Robert went to Donchery, France near Belgium for four years to assist in the start up the production lines for General Motors. He was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church where he was the sound man for several years, a 50 year member of the B. Leo Dolan Post 425 American Legion, former member of Red Jacket Lodge F A & M, NOME, the Railroad Historical Society, was instrumental and chairman of the Kenan Model Railroad Show and was Past President of the Retiree's Golf League.
Robert is survived by his wife of 71 years whom he married in Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Lila (MacEvoy) Fogle of Lockport; father of Peter (Mary Jane) Fogle, Marjorie (John) Kenney, and Jean (William) Edmister all of Lockport; grandfather of Robert (Gerri) Fogle, Michele (John) Martin, Christopher Kenney, Robin Bonanno, Andrew (Ni) Kenney, Julie (Seth) Edwards, Rebecca (Peter) Wydysh, and Sara (Seth) Cotillard; great grandfather of ten; brother of Donald Fogle and the late James and Jack Fogle.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, November 29th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 30th at 11 AM in Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 75 East Ave., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
