Obituary of Donald Richardson

Donald E. Richardson passed away November 7, 2013 in Buffalo General Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls on July 16, 1931 he was the son Russell and Myrtle Richardson. Donald served in the US Navy from 1950 to 1954 serving on the USS Wasp. While in the Navy he earned the National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and the Navy Occupation (Europe). He owned and operated Wendelville Auto Service. After closing his service station he went to work for the NYSDMV as a auto safety instructor. Donald was a Wendelville Volunteer Fireman, was a Past Chief, First Aid Captain, a member of the Wheatfield Legion, Wendleville Exempt and served on the Board of Directors for the Evangelical Protestant Cemetery. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Donald is survived by his wife Beverly (Schoelles) Richardson of Lockport; father of Cheryl (John) McConnell of Florida and Carl "Buzz" (Julie) Richardson; grandfather of Lindsey (Tim) Palmer, Stacy (Geoffrey) White, Katie McConnell, Brittany and Dylan Richardson; four great grandchildren. He is also the brother of Calvin Richardson of North Tonawanda and the late Ronald (Barbara) Richardson and also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Monday November 11, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 11 AM. Interment will be in the Evangelical Protestant Cemetery. Memorials to the Cemetery o/c Robert Cramer, 4846 Meyer Road, North Tonawanda, NY 14120 would be appreciated by the family.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 11 AM.
<h3>Interment</h3>
Interment will be in the Evangelical Protestant Cemetery.
