Fioravante DiMatteo, loving husband, father, and grandfather entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 7, 2013, surrounded by his family. Born in Roccomorice, Italy on April 2, 1932, Fioravante immigrated to the United States in 1959 to begin a new chapter in his life. He worked as a steelworker at Simonds Saw & Steel, and spent time working for Corson Manufacturing before retiring in 1994. Fior, as he was known to friends, was passionate about his garden and fig trees, enjoyed playing bocce, and made his own wine for many years. A "jack of all trades", he enjoyed helping anyone who asked or needed to have something done. He leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Antonetta (Menna), as well as children Anita (Dan) Mullane, Louise (Jim) Kern, Anna (Michael) McCann, Lena (John) Villella, Donna (John) Wick, and Frank (Shannon) DiMatteo. Fior had 14 grandchildren: Kristina (Joseph) Bragg, Brian (Katie) Kern, Kimberly, John (Amanda), and Jessica Mullane, Meghan and Michael McCann, Amber and Andrew Villella, Patrick and Jeffrey Wick, and Marissa, Nicolas, and Olivia DiMatteo. He also had three great-grandchildren: Jasmine, Juliana, and Jaida Bragg, and was predeceased by two infant grandchildren, Stephen Joseph Kern and John William Villella. He was predeceased by his parents Cesidio and Francesca DiMatteo and a sister, Anna Maria (Donato) DiFabbio of Roccomorice, Italy. He is survived by three brothers, Donatoantonio (Maria) DiMatteo, of Mississauga, Canada; Rocco (Concetta) DiMatteo of Toronto, Canada, and Giuseppe (Angiolina) DiMatteo of Roccomorice, Italy, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives will be received on Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 4-8 pm at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street; Lockport, where funeral services will be offered on Monday, November 11th at 9:30 am, followed by a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10 am at All Saints Parish, 76 Church Street; Lockport. Burial will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined, and donations to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport would be appreciated by the family.

Friends and relatives will be received on Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 4 ��" 8 pm.
<h3>Services</h3>
Prayers will be offered on Monday, November 11th at 9:30 am at funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10 am at All Saints Parish, 76 Church Street; Lockport.
<h3>Interment</h3>
Burial will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
