It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, grandmother and a friend. Gail Marie (Siedhoff) Burns passed away on October 31st 2013 surrounded by her loving family in Buffalo, NY.
Gail was born June 9th, 1943, to the late Roger and Betty Siedhoff. She was raised in Lockport and graduated in 1961 from LSHS. Upon graduation, she worked as a bank teller at the former Lockport Savings Bank (First Niagara). She frequented Wagner's Restaurant where she met the love of her life - Francis (Dick) Burns. They were married May 1st 1965 at St. Patrick's Church, Lockport NY.
From fixing roofs to making custom upholstery with her husband, there was no task she couldn't conquer. Gail was a true "Jill" of all trades. She enjoyed frequent trips in their motorhome, needlepoint, baking, sewing, and gardening. Gail was a member of the UAW Dart league and enjoyed using her luck at "Bid pitch Cards". She also went to battle with cancer and won, being a 19 year survivor. Gail enriched all of our lives with her gorgeous smile and her ready hand to help anyone.
