Obituary of Marian Miller

Marian B. Miller passed away October 28, 2013 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst, NY. Born in Wheeling, WV on September 5, 1921 she was the daughter of John and Bessie (Stocker) Acker. Marian earned her Associates degree from West Liberty College and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, volunteered at the Presbyterian Home and enjoyed visiting other local nursing homes, was a seamstress, was a member of the Patchwork singing group, singing at churches and local nursing homes. Marian also helped start the Fish Organization in Tonawanda which became Meals-On-Wheels. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years Reverend Kenneth E. Miller who passed away on January 6, 2012.
Marian is survived by her two daughters Christine Miller of Pendleton and Rebecca (Cal) Rhoney of Middleport; two grandsons Philip (Jennifer) Rhoney and Brian (Erin) Rhoney; five great grandchildren Liam, Savannah, Sloan, Quinn, and Reagan; sister of Barbara (Edward) Kemp of Florida and the late Bess Vanaman and Martha Jefferson; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday, November 3rd from 4-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 4th at 10:30 AM in the First Presbyterian Church, 21 Church St., Lockport. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.
