Pastor Wade Smith age 65, of Lockport, NY passed away peacefully October 26th, 2013. He was born October 19, 1948 in Zellwood, Florida. He's the beloved son of the late Sylvester and Bessie Bryant Smith and predeceased by his sister Glory Searight. Pastor Wade moved to Lockport in the early 1960s, where he immediately fell in love with Annie Cheatham. They were united in marriage on November 14, 1968. He is survived by his sons Wade A. Sr. of Lockport and Randy (Rachael) of Canfield, Ohio, and one daughter Rachel Hunter of Buffalo. He was the grandfather of nine. Wade Jr. and Raven of Lockport, Corey of Erie, Pennsylvania, Randy Jr., Cameron and Chloe of Canfield, Ohio, Raymere McElwain, Alize Cooley, and Irie White of Buffalo, NY. Wade also leaves behind three brothers and seven sisters, Sylvester of Sorrento, Florida, Napoleon and Leroy of Rochester, NY, Rosezena Knowles of Lockport NY, Christine Hepburn, Zilla (Othman) Higgs, Shirley (Irving) Murph, Doris (Maxwell) Lewis, Lillie Garner all of Rochester NY and Betty (Alfonso) Reese of Leesburg, Florida. He was the loving God-Father of Marcia Lewis Hightower, PJ Harris and Mark Sanders. He is also leaving behind several in-laws and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Pastor Wade attended public schools in Florida. He retired from Harrison Radiator where he worked for over thirty years. His love was presiding as the Pastor of Living Outreach Ministry and Outreach Ministry at Niagara County Jail. He was the former member of Refuge Temple, Cathedral of Praise, New Born Fellowship and New Love Faith in Christ. Since the moment Wade accepted Christ in his life, he has been a soldier for God. He spoke and dressed in his Godly attire. He always wore the armor of God. He felt it was his duty to spread the word and feed those he encountered with the word. From his transition, his mission has been totally to give God his all. His past life, gave him the understanding to go back to where he came from to share the good life of the Lord. He also served as a youth counselor for Lockport New Beginnings "Young Men &amp; Women of Character" program since it establishment. He love spending time with his family-especially his grandchildren, friends and encountered no strangers. He enjoyed traveling, family reunions, playing chess, car shows and talking about the Lord. When you talked with Pastor Smith he always had those funny sayings: Wrong Answer," "It's a Beautiful Thing," "Been there can tell Going there how to get there." "Yall," "Why-Because" He was a special "Angel" here on earth with his big smile and laughter.
