Obituary of Shirley Casalinuovo

Shirley Rose Casalinuovo passed away Thursday September 26, 2013. Born in Buffalo on May 22, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Vincent E. and Rose Delesandro Mullen. Shirley had her own drapery business for many years and enjoyed crafts and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Antonio "Cas" Casalinuovo, who passed away April 9, 2008. Shirley is survived by her children Anthony Casalinuovo of Lenexa, KS, Thomas (Karen) Casalinuovo and Tina Forys both of Lockport; grandmother of Samuel, Joseph, Steven, James, Michael (Sarah), Jennifer, Kyle, Lena, Clare, Tommy and Molly; Great Grandmother of Bella, Jackson, Caylee, Emma, Franco and Alexzander; Sister of Charles Mullen, Clyde (Frances) Mullen, Edward "Tubby" (Wendy) Mullen, Edmond "Booye" (Sharon)Mullen James (Karen) Mullen, Donald (Kathy) Mullen and the late Joan (David) Smith, Angela Fonzi, Evelyn Abernathy and Vincent Mullen. Mother in-law of Mike Forys and dear cousin whom she treated like a son David (Lisa) Poole of Lockport; also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where prayers will be offered Monday morning at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, to be celebrated at 10 AM in All Saints Parish Oratory, 391 Market Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials to the Roswell Park Cancer Institute would be appreciated by the family.
