Obituary of Pauline Torrey

Pauline Torrey passed away Saturday August 31, 2013. Born in Cambridge, MA. she was the daughter of the late Harold and Eleanor Ryan. Pauline graduated from the University of Massachusetts and Buffalo State College, earning Bachelor's Degrees at both schools. She worked as a Medical Technician at several local hospitals, owned, operated and designed clothing at her store, Koala Kreations in Lockport and was a computer technician and trainer for Eastman Machine Company, travelling all over the US, Asia, Europe and South America. Pauline enjoyed arts, crafts, painting, sewing, Facebook and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Pauline is survived by her husband of 42 years, Douglas A. Torrey; mother of Brian M. (Sher-Li) Torrey of Singapore, Deidre L. (Jonathan) Slate of Berlin, MA. and the late Matthew R. (Jennifer) Torrey. She is also survived by her grandchildren Taylor Roland Torrey, Ryan Torrey, Aidan Slate, Nolan Slate, Clarissa Si Ying Torrey and Ian Jun Wei Torrey. Pauline is also survived by her siblings Charlie Ryan and Maureen (Paul) Malenchini of Sutton, MA. and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc., 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday morning at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport. Online condolences at www.pruddenandkandt.com.
