Obituary of Clarence Secord

Clarence L. Secord passed away Thursday August 15, 2013, in Harris Hill Health Care Facility. Born in Ransomville, NY on May 19, 1924, he was the son of the late Charles and Jane Ingram Secord. Clarence served in the US Army as a Paratrooper in the Battle of the Bulge, earning several Purple Hearts. Clarence worked at International Multifoods for 34 years, he retired in 1987. In his later years, he loved his meetings with his Newfane Senior Group, tinkering around the house and especially spending time with his daughters. Clarence is predeceased by his wife Frances Secord, who passed away October 26, 2005. He is survived by his daughters Elizabeth A. (Gary) Secord-Smith, Jane (Robert) Lovewell, Claire (Christopher) Maines, Cynthia (Alan) Robertson and Joan (Joe) Giazzon; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his dear friend Marie Spencer and several nieces and nephew. Clarence is predeceased by his brothers, Charles Secord and George Secord. Friends may call Saturday August 17th from 3 to 7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc., 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday August 19th at 11 AM in St. Brendan on the Lake, 3455 Ewings Rd, Newfane, NY. Interment will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.
