Obituary of Joseph Quagliano

Joseph A. Quagliano passed away Thursday August 8, 2013. Born in Lockport on November 13, 1930, he was the son of the late Frank and Alice Runfola Quagliano. Joe served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict from 1952 until 1954. He worked as a fireman for the City of Lockport for 27 years, retiring in 1976. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol (nee Art) Quagliano; father of Susan Q. (Robert) Bavisotto of Amherst, Karen (Doug) Reamer of Batavia, Kathleen (Paul) Mulvey of Lockport, Matthew Quagliano of Buffalo and Mark Quagliano of Amherst. He is also survived by his grandchildren Lisa, Maryann, Christina, Danielle, Shannon, Sean, Sarah, Alura, Sierra and Rylee; great grandfather of Cameron, Brianna, Gabriel, Liam and Braeden. Joe was the brother of Elizabeth Stoll and Sam "Honey" Quagliano; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his faithful companion "Sam". There will be no prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10 AM, at St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials to Niagara Hospice or to Odd Fellow and Rebekah Health Care Facility, would be appreciated by the family. <h3>Visitation</h3> There will be no prior visitation. <h3>Services</h3> A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10 AM, at St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport. <h3>Interment</h3> Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
