Russell S. Whitmire passed away on Monday, August 5, 2013. Born in Lockport on January 18, 1951, he was the son of the late William and Jessie Steele Whitmire.
Russ worked at Tops Market in Lockport for the past 24 years, and also worked at Target, before that he also worked for KB Toys. He enjoyed camping in the Southern Tier and bowling.
Russ is survived by his son, Phillip (Amy) Eaton of Lockport; his grandchildren, Ashley Eaton, Elizabeth Eaton, Parker Matuszewski and Jessica Price; and his great-grandson, Kamryn Eaton.
There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
