Obituary of Norma Ferris

Norma Carol (Argue) Ferris, age 80, of Lockport, NY, passed away Tuesday August 6, 2013, in Buffalo General Hospital. Born on December 26, 1932, in Lockport, to Clay and Esther (Ciems) Argue. Norma graduated from Lockport High School in 1951; and worked at Harrison Radiator for 8 years. She was a member of the Grand Squares and the Gasport Senior Citizens. Norma was married to the late Arthur DeWitt Ferris, who passed away November 2, 2009.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra (David) Wood burn of Burt, NY and Judith (Lawrence) Meyer of Medina, NY; six grandchildren Sarah (Joshua) Alberter, Bryan (Allison) Woodburn, Bethany (Jacob) Smith, Jenna (Jeff) Carpenter, Joseph Meyer and Elizabeth Meyer; seven great grandchildren. Norma was the sister of Ruth (Vincent) Burns of Lockport and the late William, Donald and John Argue; sister in-law of Joanne Argue, she is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday 3 to 7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc., 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held Saturday morning at 11 AM. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 7147 Ridge Rd, Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated by the family.
