James Francis Mullane passed away July 17, 2013 in Niagara Hospice House. Born in Niagara Falls on September 15, 1932 he was the son of Arthur and Julia (DuPont) Mullane. James was a graduate of DeSales High School in 1950 and went on to the University of Notre Dame graduating in 1954 with a BS in Business Management. Jim served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956. He was partner in Mullane Motors with his twin John Mullane. Jim was a member of St. John the Baptist, Elks, Moose, Eagles, Lockport Town &amp; Country Club, Clinton Club, Kiwanis, Knights of Columbus, AOH, Naples Country Club Florida, Notre Dame Club of WNY and University Club, American Legion, Tuscarora Club, Lockport Auto Dealer Association, National Automotive Dealers Association, and the Niagara Frontier Automobile Dealers. Jim enjoyed reading, fishing, and golf. Jim is survived by his wife Joanne S. "Jody" (Sheehan) Mullane of Lockport; father of Martha Mullane of Churchville, Julia Mullane of Rochester, James (Lisa Dunbar) Mullane of Amherst, Robert Mullane of Lockport, Kathryn Mullane of South Wales, John (Felicia Oliver) Mullane of South Wales, and Caroline (Kevin) Miller of Lockport; grandfather of Sean, James III, Claire, Megan, Gabrielle, Alexandra, Thomas, John Jr., Lauren, Owen and Avery; six step-children of the Strassel Family and ten step-grandchildren; also survived by several nieces and nephews; predeceased by twin brother John "Jack" Mullane. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, July 18th from 7-9 PM and Friday, July 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 20th at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Donations to Niagara Hospice or DeSales Catholic School would be appreciated by the family.
