Obituary of Irene Porretta

Irene Porretta passed away Friday July 12, 2013 in Arden Courts of Glen Ellyn, IL. Born in Lockport on September 23, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Mary Dubayka Kulik. Irene worked with her husband, Jerome, with their auction company for many years. She enjoyed swimming, which she did often at the YMCA. Irene was also a Sunday School teacher at St. Joseph's Church. Irene is survived by her husband, Jerome Porretta of Glen Ellyn, IL.; mother of Jerome C. Porretta and the late Leslie Porretta. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mary Ellen (Brent) Grier, Jennifer and Arthur Porretta; her daughter in-law Eleanor Porretta of Burt and brother Alex Kulik. Friends may call Wednesday July 17th 4 to 7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc., 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 11 AM, in All Saints Parish Oratory, 391 Market Street, Lockport, NY. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. <h3>Visitation</h3> Friends may call Wednesday July 17th 4 to 7 PM. <h3>Services</h3> A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 11 AM, in All Saints Parish Oratory, 391 Market Street, Lockport, NY. <h3>Interment</h3> Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
