Obituary of Thomas Delahunt

Thomas E. Delahunt of Lockport, NY passed away after a long struggle with MS on July 2, 2013 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical center. He was born on August 31, 1956 the son of the late Francis "Hank" and Grace "Betty" Delahunt. Tom attended Finger Lakes Community College where he studied Theatre and SUNY Buffalo majoring in Opera. He went on to perform opera professionally in both the U.S. and Germany. He was a very gifted man in several arenas: music, theatre, the sciences, athletics, moto-cross racing, furniture building, and all of the building trades. There was nothing he couldn't do if he set his mind to it. Tom was often a very generous person with a sense of humor and will be missed by family and friends. Tom is survived by his sisters Anette (Ed) Gailor, Susan (Rob) Lopez and a brother Steven (Helen) Delahunt. He was predeceased by a brother Michael Delahunt. He is also survived by nephews and nieces Edward and Shawn Gailor, Steven (Erica) and Kristina Delahunt, and several grand nieces and nephews. There will be no prior visitation. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
