Mary Elizabeth Davis (Betty), a longtime resident of Pendleton, NY died peacefully in Ft. Collins, Colorado on September 29, 2012. She was 86.
Betty was born in Buffalo to Paul and Margaret Stapleton May 27, 1926 and as a young woman grew up on Starin Avenue and attended Bennet High School. She married Russell D. Davis (Bud) of Getzville in 1948, and moved to Pendleton in 1958, and was active in Pendleton politics working for the Pendleton election board at polling centers for many years. Betty and Bud were well known for their love of animals.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Bud in 2008. She is survived by one daughter, Susan, and 2 sons, Gary Michael (Mike) and Russell P. (Rusty). She had 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A memorial will be had at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport on Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 11-12:30 pm.
