Obituary of Mary Chapman

Mary T. Chapman passed away July 2, 2013 in Independence Village in Aurora, OH. Born on October 22, 1919 in Proton, Ontario, Canada she was the daughter of Matthew and Anna (Cronin) Gonter. Mary worked for Harrison Radiator in the personel insurance department. She was a member of the Dale Association, Lockport Memorial Hospital Guild, AARP, St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, the Legion of Mary. Mary was an avid crafter, doll collector and accomplished seamstress. Mary was predeceased by her husband whom she married October 20, 1951 Garland R. "Chapy" Chapman on May 7, 1979.
Mary is survived by her children James (Faye) Chapman of Los Altos, CA, William (Susan) Chapman of Alden, David (Carrie) Chapman of Yorbalinda, CA, Patricia (late Richard) Phillips of Streetsboro, OH and the late Gary Chapman; grandmother of ten and great grandmother of four; sister of Cathleen Petrie of West Seneca and the late Margaret (late Vincent) Hau, Richard Gonter, Rev. Louis Gonter and Matthew Gonter.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, July 5th from 3-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 6th at 10 AM in All Saints Parish, 76 Church St., Lockport. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Visit www.pruddenandkandt.com.
