Obituary of Wesley Baes

Wesley R. Baes passed away Monday June 24, 2013 in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY. Born in Lockport on February 11, 1938, he was the son of the late Roland and Ada Turrell Baes. He graduated from the University of Buffalo with a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Electrical Engineering. Wesley worked at Mattel in Medina, NY, for over 25 years as a fork truck operator. He enjoyed Ham Radio and also airplanes, Wesley had his Pilot License and had studied to be an aircraft mechanic. Wesley is survived by his wife of 44 years, Vicki (nee Royer) Baes of Albion, and his children Shane Baes of Albion, Tarrah (John) Owen of Rochester, Chandra Baes of Florida and Bryce Baes of Albion. He is also survived by his grandchildren Xion, Kyrah, Daryn, T'Saia, Mallory and Alaric. Wesley was the brother of, Eugene (Nancy) Baes and he is survived by nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc., 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 10 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church, 67 Saxton St., Lockport.
