Obituary of Edward Zoerb

Edward G. Zoerb passed away Saturday June 22, 2013 in Niagara Hospice House. Born in Buffalo, on November 21, 1917, he was the son of the late George and Anna Adelmen Zoerb. Edward served in the US Army Air Corp from 1941 until 1945, as a pilot during WWII. He owned and operated Twin Oaks Motel on Route 104 in Cambria. Edward also worked at Simonds Saw and Steel for 10 years, and also was a home builder for many years. Edward was a member of the Charlotteville Mason Lodge #73 (formerly the Lockport Lodge) and was a 32nd Degree Shriner; he also enjoyed woodworking around the house and fishing. Edward was the husband of Muriel (nee Bieger) Zoerb and the late Lois (nee Treble) Zoerb, who passed away in 1973.
Besides his wife, Edward is survived by his son David Zoerb of North Tonawanda, his step son of David (Kathleen) Popper of Depew and was the grandfather of Christopher Zoerb and Jeffrey (Deanna) Zoerb; great grandfather of Heidi Zoerb. Edward is also survived by his sister Norma Fischer.
Friends may call Tuesday June 25th from 4 to 8 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc., 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 AM. There will be a Masonic Service Tuesday evening at 7:30 PM. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.
