Obituary of Margaret Bascom

Margaret Bascom passed away June 17, 2013. Born in Lockport on October 19, 1932 she was the daughter of Stanley and Sophie (Zaranowska) Podeszek. Margaret was a member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, enjoyed gardening, reading and coffee time with friends. She was predeceased by her husband Irving E. "Red" Bascom on June 27, 1995, by her daughter Julie A. Briggs on July 17, 2010 and also by her ten siblings. Margaret is survived by her sons Sheldon Bascom and Michael (Nadine) Bascom both of Lockport; son-in-law John Briggs; grandchildren Edward (Jackie) Briggs, Jennifer, Sarah and Robert Bascom; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, June 20th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where prayers will be offered Friday, June 21st at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 AM in All Saints Parish, 76 Church St., Lockport. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
