Walter L. Maines, Jr. 58, passed away on June 14, 2013 in Terrace View Nursing Home, Buffalo. Born on July 20, 1954 in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of Irene (Mergaert) Maines and the late Walter L. Maines Sr. Walt worked for Beaverboard, Lockport Paperwork and Jamestown Container. Walt loved sports especially the NY Yankees, the Buffalo Bills and NASCAR. He was a proud member with his brothers in the band the Country Wranglers. Beside his mother, Walt is survived by his wife; Donna (Tagg) Maines, his children; Brian (Amanda O'Lay) Maines, Joe (Chelsy Hollfelder) Maines, Mark (Heather) Maines and Donnite (Chris Cornwell) Maines; his siblings; Rich, Terry, Earl, Sally, Mary, Ginny, Ann and Juanita. Several brothers and sisters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, June 19th from 2-4 and 7-9pm in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 20th at 11 AM.
