Obituary of Anna Speck

Anna Marie Speck passed away Sunday June 2, 2013 in Briody Health Care Facility. Born in Buffalo on July 20, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Barbara Burkhard Gersitz. Anna was the past president of the Women's Democrat Society and a member of the St. John's Mothers Club, the DeSales Mothers Club, the Birthday Club and a lifetime member of the Dale Association. Anna is predeceased by her husband George Speck, who passed away October 1, 2007 and her sons Daniel (Joann) Speck and William (Wendy) Speck.
Anna was the mother of Robert (Jacqueline) Speck, Michael (Christine) Speck and Kathleen (Nicholas) Casalinuovo, all of Lockport. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Beside her husband and sons, Anna is also predeceased by her ten siblings.
Friends may call Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc., 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials to the Briody Health Care Facility, LTC Memorial Scholarship Fund, 909 Lincoln Ave., Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated by the family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport.

Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
