Theresa S. Blackley, dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away at Niagara Hospice surrounded by her loving family. Theresa raised four daughters and was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Family meant everything to her and her greatest joy came from the time she spent with them. She was born April 24, 1934, the daughter of Joseph and Santa (Giuffre) Sammarco who emigrated from Sicily. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard D. Blackley, brother James Sammarco, and sister Josephine Sammarco. She is survived by daughters Santina (Paul) Lamont, Lisa (Jay) Ridgeway, Lori Thompson, and Christa Blackley (Martin Godwin). She is also survived by brothers Cono (Joyce) Sammarco, Joseph Sammarco, Samuel (Suzanne) Sammarco, Anthony Sammarco, and Albert Sammarco. A private memorial for the immediate family will be held at a future date. Donations to Niagara Hospice are greatly appreciated.
