Obituary of Donald C. Hemmer
Donald C. Hemmer passed away on Friday November 13, 2020 at Niagara Hospice House. Born in Lockport on February 24, 1955, he was the son of the late Charles and Patricia Best Hemmer. He served in the US Army from 1973 until 1976. After he was discharged from service, he and his friends he met while in service would meet yearly, they fondly called themselves the Army Kritters.
Don retired from Harrison Radiator in 2013 after working for 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed bowling, golfing and spending time with his family.
Don is survived by his wife Josie (nee Gagliardo) Hemmer; father of Sarah (Jake) Eschborn, Patrick Hemmer, Laura (Scott) Hnatyszyn and Linda (Joseph) Saskowski. He is also survived by eight grandchildren. Don is predeceased by his brothers Eugene and Kenneth Hemmer.
