Obituary of Lauren Marie Leihgaber

Lauren Marie Leihgaber entered into rest March 27, 2019 at her home in Oglesby, TX after losing her battle with cancer. Lauren is a native of Barker, NY and the daughter of Lawrence Leihgaber and Bonnie Sobieraski  (Leihgaber Holmes) and the granddaughter of the late Lawrence and Marie Leihagaber and the late Patricia Patterson (Holmes).  Lauren graduated from Ohio Technical College with a Auto Diesel Mechanic Degree, after Graduating from Barker central school.

Lauren served five and a half years in the United States Army as a truck driver. She did a year tour in Afghanistan where she participated in two major campaigns. Lauren also spent 3 years in Vilseck Germany and a year at Fort Hood Texas.

Lauren was passionate about animal care and enrolled in college to become Veterinarian Technician in Texas. Lauren often rehabilitated animals and had several rescued cats, dogs, and even an Opossum as her pets. Lauren was an avid car enthusiast and had won several competitions with her Mitsubishi Eclipse at local car shows.

Lauren is survived by her mother and father as well as her brothers Christopher McClanahan and David Leihgaber (Heather Petersen) and her nieces Ariel and Gabrielle.
