Dennis Ryan MacDonald born January 14, 1940 in Lockport, passed away August 26, 2026 at his home surrounded by family, and under the compassionate care of Niagara Hospice.  He was the son of Carl and Elizabeth (Ryan) MacDonald.  Dennis graduated from DeSales Catholic High School.  Following high school Dennis began his career in the automotive industry.  He began as a car lot assistant, and rose to become General Manager at Heinrich Chevrolet, where he spent most of his career.  Dennis found his proudest and happiest moments were those spent with family and time spent on the golf course.  He spent countless hours watching hockey games, dance recitals, and cheer competitions of his children and grandchildren.  Later in life he enjoyed luncheons with his DeSales classmates, and spending time with his grandchildren and making them laugh.  Dennis was a member of All Saints Church, and past member of Clinton Club, Exchange Club, Tuscarora Club, and Lockport Town and Country Club.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 56 years Roberta (Simons) MacDonald; his children Kevin (Kim) MacDonald and Jennifer (Scott Gorman) MacDonald; sibling Rita (Tom) Heary, Sister in law Dawn MacDonald; grandchildren, Ryan (Morgan) MacDonald, Connor, Logan and Lauren MacDonald, Olivia and Emma Gorman, and the late Ainsley Gorman; two great grandchildren, Lana and Theodore. His late siblings Carol (William) Davin, Katherine “Kay” (John) Lange, Robert MacDonald, Charles (Betty) MacDonald and Helen (John) Coleman; 

There will be no prior visitation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at All Saints Church, 76 Church St., Lockport on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at 10 am. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Niagara Hospice for their compassionate care.
