Patrick C. Canty, age 90, of North Tonawanda, NY, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.  Born in Sarasota, FL, he was the son of the late Francis C. and L. Clare (nee Wanek) Canty, and was predeceased by two brothers, Francis (late Mary) Canty and James (late Margarite and late Doris) Canty.  Patrick was a U.S. Army veteran, and had been employed as a Quality Control Manager for Bell Aerospace in Niagara Falls. He later worked for Sears Appliance in Clarence and after for Irr Supply Visionary Baths in North Tonawanda. Patrick enjoyed family gatherings during the Christmas and Easter holidays and especially enjoyed backyard family cookouts around the pool or in the sunroom as well as listening to the Irish Tenors.

Pat is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Jacqueline S. (nee Slacer) Canty, a daughter Denise (John) Olewnik, two sons, Scott (Nancy) Canty and Dr. Timothy (Whitney Byrd) Canty, a brother J. Michael (Susan) Canty, three grandchildren, Samantha (Joshua Vacanti) Olewnik, Benjamin (Hali Justice) Canty, and Joshua (Madison) Canty; also survived by four great-grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to Pat and Jacki's home at 11 Starling Ct. in the Town of Wheatfield for an open house gathering on Sunday, August 30, from 1 to 4 PM, where light refreshments will be served and memories will be shared. Pat's family wishes to give a very special thank you to the caring staff at McAuley Residence for their love and support during these past few weeks.
